While getting ready to disembark at Ensenada, I was intrigued by the shadows made by the fencing and personnel on the dock. I took the picture from the lido deck of the cruise ship.
1/550, f5.6, iso 160, focal length 6mm, fuji finepix s5000 digital camera. Some cropping and a little cloning to cover a large white spot on the dock. Otherwise, that's the way it was late September 2004.

I took this on this past Thanksgiving as my daughter were photographing a pumpkin field at the end of the pumpkin season. It was kind of sad, as the the field was full of pumpkins, and they were just left to rot. On the way home, we were on the look out for a good opportunity as the sun was just coming up.

True radiance in a fireplace insert

I was thinking of how to best represent "Radiant" and asking my family for potential subjects when my son asked if it meant heat or light. He suggested the glowing, yet radiant, wood in the fireplace. So here it is.

This was the first of many trips to Disneyland for our family. We got an annual pass and tried to wear it out. This is not my photo, but it was my brother in law using my wife's camera for this "family portrait" of sorts. Note our children trying to decide if we are embarassing them or not. We should have logged in 7 trips by early January 05. This is significant to me as it is the first time we have had so much "vacation times" in over 10 years. It is also fun for me as I am the same age as Disneyland and can hardly wait to celebrate "our 50th birthday together in 2005.

I was attending a car show, when the fire department showed up for show and tell and offered everyone a chance to hold the firehose with the assistance of the fire department personnel. She along with the other children, were super excited. Some of the adults had the chance also.
